The Opportunity

King of Pops is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated individual to join our Charleston team as its General Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a large team and won't shy away from doing the hard work alongside them. Ability to manage processes and hold your team accountable is key.

An entrepreneurial spirit is also preferred, as you will be seeking out new opportunities for the brand to grow in Charleston. You will manage a team of approximately 20 pop slingers and Operations Leads. 

In short, the General Manager for King of Pops Charleston will keep things humming on a day-to-day basis.

Prior GM experience in retail, food, hospitality or consumer goods is highly preferred. 


What you're going to do:

  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable the Charleston sales and operations staff
  • Manage your P&L
  • Ensure the right pops are in the right place (carts, catering, deliveries) at the right time
  • Oversee all King of Pops cart sales (seek out new and exciting cart sales opportunities, manage existing relationships)
  • Oversee staffing and scheduling for all of Charleston
  • Manage the King of Pops facility (non-production areas)
  • Provide customer service resolution when needed
  • Submit production requests


Who you are 

  • Experienced leader that has managed a large team successfully in the past
  • A manager that knows how to "speak P&L" and work within a budget
  • Inside sales/relationship management experience
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated individual who is confident, thorough, and tenacious.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented and able to “zoom” in/out from the big picture to the minutiae. Demonstrated organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to effectively operate with enthusiasm and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment
  • Someone with "bias to action" (You are comfortable initiating and leading efforts, projects and programs with minimal prompting)
  • Very strong organization, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on leader that isn't afraid to get sweaty
  • Active and able to lift at least 50 pounds + stand on feet for long stretches
  • Fun to work with!

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $30,000 to $50,000 commensurate with experience
