At the risk of sounding too cliched, we want you to know that working at King of Pops is not like working at most other places. Why? Well, that can be tough to describe without experiencing it firsthand, but we owe it to you, Dear Applicant, to try.
For starters, we ask more of our employees than most places. We certainly respect work-life balance and understand the value of taking frequent clarity breaks, but everyone on our team loves to talk and think and dream about King of Pops whether they are "at work" or not.
In return for asking so much of them, we give our employees a great deal of freedom to make decisions and create an impact. We believe in hiring the best people we can and letting them loose to create magic in the best way they see fit.
Beyond all else, working at King of Pops means making a serious commitment to helping us create an exceptional community beyond just our workplace. We understand that not everyone will care about all this stuff as much as we do; if King of Pops isn’t for you, we wish you the best and would be happy to help you in any way we can.
If you think this is the spot you’ve been looking for though, then go right ahead and submit an application.
The Catapult Program at King of Pops is a six-month long experiential learning and leadership development program designed to launch talented individuals further into their careers, with knowledge and skills that will allow them to excel in a leadership role.
While in the program, Catapulters will rotate first through Atlanta before going "on assignment" in another King of Pops city for three months.
During their first three months in Atlanta, Catapulters serve alongside other “full-time” Operations Leaders where they will share job descriptions and roles. The local GM and Catapult Director will work to train participants in each functional area while also giving the opportunity to set goals and have true influence.
At each stop along the way, participants must "graduate" by showing progress toward professional and personal goals. Upon successful completion of the six-month long program, participants work with the Catapult Program Director and King of Pops leadership for placement into a full-time management role.
